A Lexington classic, with the best breadsticks you’ll ever eat. When Joe retired we were concerned about its future but everything appears to be just as good as always.
Love the food here! Picked up the food and Carmine checked me out was extremely respectful! Had to wait a little bit before food was ready and offered to help get things ready as much as he could! Gave updates while waiting and was a very pleasant experience!
Expect a bit of a wait, even on a weekday. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. Obviously, we HAD to order the breadstick, right? Whatever you imagine it to be... it's even more delicious. The bread is even softer and more warm, the butter is perfection, and when you drop a little of the parm in there? Amazing. We did get a pizza and a pasta, but I indulged so hard in the bread that I didn't even eat the pasta until we got home. The side salad was yummy, and the ranch dressing was all the good parts of a house ranch. The pasta traveled well. So well, we were able to put it in a lunchbox with ice and take it home to California with us. The staff were all so polite and apologetic for the wait. Other staff stopped by our table and conversed with us (we were close to the beverage refill area) and were super kind. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.
We went for lunch on a Saturday and had 20 people in our party. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. They seated us at 2 large tables in the loft. Our waitress Heather was amazing!! She kept our drinks full and got every detail of the food order correct! The food was delicious! The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of bang for your buck! I recommend the Sicilian style pizza and the breadsticks are a must!! I did not try the Italian sub but it was huge and my family loved it!
I’ve always wanted to go to this restaurant and finally made it. It’s housing an old church so the atmosphere is fun. The windows are gorgeous. Who does fantastic. There’s parking right behind the restaurant making it easy to park downtown. This is not always the case with every restaurant. Our server was attentive. The food was fantastic. The breadsticks are to die for. We had the baked penne pasta as well as the chicken Parmesan. Portions were large. Ended up taking food home to have his leftovers. Highly recommend
I haven’t had service this great in a long time. The service was AMAZING. We were immediately sat, constant refills, got our food in 10 minutes or less. Food was absolutely perfect. We are traveling but will definitely be back any time we are in Lexington. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
Great bread sticks, and good pizza! Sticks came out fast pizza was about 30min, we had the pan crust, thick and fluffy very good with the Mexican pizza.
Just as good as it ever was! Had garlic bread sticks with marinara, buffalo chicken pizza and Heath cake. The service was excellent, with great personality, and the buffalo chicken pizza was the best I've ever had of that variety, hands down. Very complex and subtle flavor, with nothing overpowering anything else!
A Lexington tradition. Very happy to see the new owner had kept the vibes and delicious food going. But also added a nice bourbon bar seating area. The tradition lives on. Hope Joe is enjoying retirement knowing his traditions seem to be well taken care of!
Such a cool spot! This business is set up in a renovated church-turned synagogue-turned great ol' pizzeria years ago. Loved both the deep dish pan and thin crust and of course the iconic breadstick dish. Everything cooked perfectly and served with a smile. Would return any time in the area.
